What is the Avon & Somerset Bleed Kit Partnership?
Avon and Somerset Police have joined up with HeartSafe and NHS England South West to provide emergency bleed kits in public spaces across local communities. These kits are easily accessible to help anyone respond quickly in life-threatening situations involving severe bleeding, such as from traffic accidents, falls, stabbings, animal bites, or other injuries.
With 24/7 availability, these kits empower the public to act in the crucial first moments after an injury, potentially saving lives before emergency responders arrive. They are attached in red boxes to the existing green Defibrillator boxes. They are sealed with a yellow security tag which in an emergency can be broken easily. If you notice these have been tampered with, please email cllrbirch@cotford-st-luke.org.uk so that they can be checked and safe for emergency use.
