A note from Gaby:
I would like to introduce myself as the new Village Agent for the 10 parishes and beyond. My name is Gaby Bellamy and I am looking forward to being able to meet many of you within your community very soon.
The role of Village Agents is to bridge the gap between isolated, excluded, vulnerable and lonely individuals and statutory and/or voluntary organisations which offer specific solutions to identified needs. All of the support that I offer is free and confidential.
Do you live alone, have a problem and are not sure who to turn to? Do you need some help finding the right agency, service or people to turn to? Are you a carer that needs help and support? Does your community have a collective problem that needs a kick-start? Or, if you’re just finding life a bit hard going at the moment, I may be able to help.
I will be based at Lister House Surgery in Wiveliscombe on a Monday and Friday every week. There you will able to book an appointment to see me or pop in for a chat if you are passing. I am also going to be running a drop-in clinic at Wiveliscombe House in The Square, Wivey on the first and third Tuesday of every month between 10am and 1pm… though, you may see me there more frequently if the need is high!
You may see me walking around the villages or at local groups and coffee mornings. If you do, please come and say “Hello” I’d love to have a chat. Perhaps a biscuit or two! I can pop to see you in your home too, if you’d prefer. Or even meet for a quiet fizzy drink at the local pub!
I work 5 days a week and will answer my mobile if I am able to. If I don’t answer, please do leave me a message as I will call you back as soon as I can. So any query, large or small – get in touch. email@example.com
